Roll Brim hat or Peter Pan Cap

...my hat has some issues due to my unwillingness to follow any sort of pattern in full. It actually looks like a hat. Yay! I think i can fix it, it is just a little bit short since i started decreasing too soon I was scared it would be to big. I think if I can unstitch the beginning and figure out how to pick up stitches I can add another 3-5 rows and give it a better edge and maybe even make it a non roll brim hat!
Knitting it in the round is fun and easy.. I did it 3 sittings, mostly.

See I look like a hat.
decreasing in the round
Then it got scarrrrry so i decided to document all before switching to the double sided needles and ruining it all. The needles are actually a size smaller (8) then the rounds which are a 9.

I don't think the little round things are meant to be used how I used them ... but they are markers and I marked where I needed to decrease. Or atleast where I thought I should decrease.....

My new scarfy scarf...

Soooo I'm kinda bored with my first scarf, and I am also waiting to get one more skein of the dark gray yarn before I go any farther. I would hate to finish the current skien and not be able to start another, so it is getting put on pause for right now. I tried knitting in the round, and it just felt so foreign, and awkward to me so that is also getting put on hold until I feel more comfortable with what I am doing, and possible read a little on how it is done.

Anyways now to the real reason I started this post. I started a scarf yesterday using the twisted drop stitch pattern I found here http://kisknit.wordpress.com/2006/09/13/twisted-drop-stitch-scarf-pattern/#more-82. It took a couple tries to get it the method down, but I am making good progress now. Using the bigger yarn, bigger needles, and this method it is coming together quickly, which is nice. I bought some smaller yarn at Michaels on Saturday, but it just wasn't bulky enough, and i will have to use it for another project.

so here it is, enjoy...

Delightfully, wonderfully....

Juston got me a pretty knitting bag, it is cute as well as beautifully, tastilly, amazingly aweseome...

It keeps my bundle of a scarf safe. My scarf is almost done and would be done if I could sit down and do it for 30 min but Tye says it is ugly and it makes me too sad to work on it. This is it in it's bundled state sitting with its pretty bag.

I also got stuff for a hat.. maybe I will start it today.

Mooving away to the sea.

I think we (or I) should move away to a hippie beach town and make pretty mittens, scarves, hats and braceletes and these cute little dolls!

Someone is complaining...

Someone is complaining about there being no posts here, hmmm I wonder who that could be?

My fingers hurt. I believe some of it has to do with the way I work the needles, and some of it from the yarn I am using. Needless to say i am not letting a little pain get in my way, and my projected finish time for this scarf is sometime next week.

I may considering taking a pic and sharing, but them again you can always come to my desk to see my progress.

Scarrfing #1

This is my original scarf. Kim says the yarn is very in with Vogue Knitting. It has since been reconstructed to be thinner and a bit less wobbly along the edges. I'm going to give to my little sister as a gift for her birthday.

This is my sister, she will wear it.
